Central account is a department under Accountant General, Responsible for all Receipts and Payments, with the following activities;

1-Source foreign exchange for overseas medical treatment, foreign student and Government officials on trips etc.

2-Preparation of cash flow information, to aids Management decision.

3-Provision of financial data to Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Central Bank of Nigeria, Commercial Banks etc.

4-Prepares remittance vouchers to sub-treasury.

5-Preparation of remittances of tax deductions to Federal Inland Revenue Services, Board of Internal Revenue, Finance Incorporated Department, Poverty Alleviations and Zakkat Board, etc.
